Original artwork description

This painting was created in premium oils and depicts a family of deer in a wood of silver birch and beech trees silhouetted against a brightly lit hollow seen across a pond. This painting was inspired by a local wood, Wokefield Common in Berkshire. Within the wood is Pullen’s pond around which can be seen many deer throughout the year. I have tried to capture the myriad of colours that can be seen in this wood during the autumn season.
