Coronavirus - time for a virtual art GALLERY
We are, without doubt, living in very unusual and unsettling times with the ongoing crisis caused by the spread of the coronavirus. It is now increasingly likely that the UK will have even tighter restrictions imposed upon public movement. Even without these most, if not all, of this year's public exhibitions, fetes, fayres and other events have already been cancelled. Unfortunately, this was to be my first year of publically displaying and selling my artwork.
Well, unusual times call for new thinking and I've decided to try to create a virtual online tour of my artwork. Unble to hold an open studio, where potential customers could visit me, this approach aims to bring the experience to you.
So, my plan is to photograph my portfolio of paintings in a variety of ways including mounted on a wall. This should enable people to see the size, shape and colour and also see how a painting would look in a home. Ideally, I'd have a mock room made up but for now I'll have to improvise.
All of the still images will then be stitched together to create a virtual tour of my original paintings.
